A six-term US senator with well over three decades of experience serving in Congress. That's change I can believe in.

I'm still holding out hope for some desperate Hillary supporters making a scene in Denver. NEVER GIVE UP Hillary supporters!

I see you've received your official RNC talking points.

Oh c'mon Dub. You didn't expect anything less, and don't say any different.

Personally, I view Biden like a view quite a few democrats. I couldn't agree less with him on most things politically but he does seem like a respectable man. He also seems like he could be interesting, as a newsweek article I read just contained the statements that he's viewed as "not the sharpest knife in the drawer" and "can't keep his mouth shut." At least I can hope for some revelry and entertainment in the final couple of months.

I'm the first to agree about him not being able to keep his mouth shut--if you watched the John Roberts (or was it Alito?) confirmation hearings, you saw him bloviate quite a lot.

But I have a great deal of respect for him and I think that Obama's comment about Biden still staying humble even after 6 terms seems right.

I'll be blogging in more detail about my thoughts on this pick in the next day or so.

And I may be live blogging some DNC Convention stuff. In case you wanted to know...

I actually met one of the cops who might be doing the shit kicking. A member of the St. Paul police came into the driving range a few days ago to take a golf lesson and I heard him say he would be working through the convention.
