Take this sinking boat and point it home

Tonight I saw what will prove to be one of the best films of the year. Once is unlike any movie musical I have ever seen, and it is a gorgeous, dreamy, and moving film. The film is basically about two lonely musicians trying to find their way in Dublin, and it stars Glen Hansard (lead singer of The Frames) and Czech singer/songwriter Markéta Irglová. The film drew me in and made me care so much about these two characters. Music and singing make up much of the film, and the music is absolutely beautiful. The song "Falling Slowly" is lovely on its own, but in the context of the film it is transformed into a transcendent and glorious piece.
