"Helena" my ass

So I'm watching the VMAs tonight, and they keep talking about a "special surprise performance." Unscheduled! It will blow your mind!
And who is it? My Chemical Romance!!!

But, but, but that's not special, unless "special" means "bullshittingly disappointing." I had to turn the channel 20 seconds into it, which is something, since I watched all of Kelly Clarkson's performance. Whenever their video comes on, I think to myself, "People seem to like them. Maybe I should give them another chance." And then 10 seconds later I say, "No. No. Still notting getting it."

I hate them.

But I cannot get enough of Franz Ferdinand's new song "Do You Want To?" Its catchy "Doo doo do doo doo" makes me smile whilst I drive.

"Helena" my ass is pretty much the greatest post title in blog history.

I never made the Kirsten Dunst connection (I also do not like her) but now that you say it . . .

My sister is honestly afraid of that video. I told her to just not watch it since it sucks anyway, but she seems to like the song... I can't understand why.

I just don't respect the VMA's anymore. Back in the day when we had "Devil's Haircut," it was at least classy. Now its a bunch of crappy Missy Elliot hiphop and some shitty 13-year old girl bands like MCR.

I know what you're saying, but the VMAs are, in fact, supposed to honor the best VIDEOS, not the music. And in that case, Missy Elliot has consistently been on the cutting edge of videos.

That's exactly what My Chemical Romance is missing.

Well, I understand the video part, and Devil's Haircut is basically the best video of all time. I just didn't like having to watch Missy Elliot "Work It" 500 times a day.

Devil's Haircut is a rather well known song by Beck, who happens to be rather well known, as well. So, I'm not sure what rock you have been under for the last 10 years PK.

P.S. I think the DH video did win some award back in, oooh, 1996 when it came out.

Dude, Beck rocks.
