Looking back on the crowd . . .
President-Elect Obama at the podium, zoomed out to see the crowd. (The big Obama head is one of the screens. He's the little guy next to it.) This picture makes it seem very far away, but I think we were about 250 feet from the podium.
And with a zoom . . . It was hard to get good shots because everyone kept holding up flags and cameras, so we had to snap quickly when we could.

There were people shooting off fireworks somewhere near my apartment right after it got called.
The whole University area was fairly riotous.
I'm pretty jealous of you, Dub. That was an incredible speech. Let's hope most people actually heard what he was saying.
I thought both he and McCain gave really good speeches after the election was declared.
