Anyone who knows me and/or reads this blog knows that I have been rather ill lately. I am in my fifth week of this current bout with bronchitis, and it all stems from my chronic sinusitis. Anyway, everyone also knows that I am sick of it.
So, since Western medicine seems to have failed me, I decided to try something else. Today I went for my first ever visit to an alternative health clinic. I have read that Chinese medicine can help with most problems, and that lung and sinus problems are often easily fixed by such methods. I figured it could not hurt to try it.
So, after a consultation with the doctor, I had a wonderful acupuncture session involving 23 needles strategically placed all over my body to help my qi. The procedure was relaxing, relatively painless, and a bit invigorating. I do not yet know if it will help, but I feel like I may be taking a good step. In addition, I have some fascinating Chinese herbal medicines.
So, we will see. But I do have some faith in it all.

I hope that it works! Feel better soon :)
Asian medicine. Damn right.
You'll have to give us updates. Acupuncture is intriguing stuff.
On an unrelated note, what is the name of the school you work at again? I met a guy this weekend who went to a prestigious public high school in the north suburbs called "North Trier" or something along those lines, I don't remember what exactly but it reminded me of you.
He went to NEW Trier, which is indeed a very prestigious high school. I am just north of there at Lake Forest.
Aha. Thanks! Hope you feel better soon after your recent injury.
