A Few Random Notes
1) As a member of R.E.M.'s fan club, I got first-dibs access to the pre-sale for their June 6th concert, so I have some sweet tickets! The concert is on my last day of school, so that will be an awesome way to start the summer (and my sixth time seeing my favorite band, dating all the way back to 1989).
2) Death Cab for Cutie announced today that they are playing a concert at Chicago's Millennium Park. That will also be some fun.
3) Once again, Matt Taibi has written another great column, this time about the "Frequently Asked Questions from the Campaign Trail." Especially excellent is his take on the myth of the battleground state.
4) That said, Barack Obama has finally disappointed me. In a question & answer session on The Today Show, Obama answered the following questions incorrectly:
- White Sox or Cubs?
- Rolling Stones or Beatles?

What?!!!! Don't tell me that he said the Rolling Stones. I don't think I can vote for him now.
I wonder which band McCain would choose.
At least he presumably wouldn't choose the White Sox.
God, fuck the fucking White Sox.
I hate Magglio Ordonez a little more than I hate the White Sox, but I hate the White Sox a lot.
