The admiralty surveys the remnants of the fleet

The Chicago area had a massive snowstorm today. The northern suburbs, where I work, were hit hard. The snow started at about 6:30 AM and did not stop all day. Every school district--and most colleges and universities (and several malls)--across northern Illinois were closed today.

Well, every district except one.

Crap.

Here's a song I like:

It was the same at UW. Buses were getting stuck everywhere from the eleven inches of snow and two foot drifts, but classes weren't cancelled until 3:30. After mine were over. I heard that a last year some law students figured out how much money they were losing when a single day of class is canceled and threatened to sue, so the school very rarely cancels class at all.

I really like Vampire Weekend. It makes me dance.

Northwestern just canceled classes after 6, and the library closes at 12 instead of 3.

Also my professors canceled both of tomorrow's classes.

I've heard there's also a school up in central Minnesota that stays open no matter what.
