Do it! Do it! All right!

The Go! Team show blew my mind last night. It may have been the most high-energy show I have ever seen! The concert took place at the world famous Double Door, a small and cozy venue, and the sold-out crowd was super revved. I did not know what to expect from the band (which is made up of a singer/rapper, two drummers, and three guitarists, plus all the sampling and keyboards). But from the opening second of the the show, they were at full throttle.

The lead singer/rapper, Ninja, is one of the most dynamic and energetic performers. She danced and sang and rapped, and she never stopped moving. And she really helped get the crowd pumped up.

Well, the music did that too. The Go! Team sounded fantastic live, and their songs were even more full of life and pep. One of their new songs, "Doing It Right," really got the crowd going. We shouted along, "Do it! Do it! All right!" as the group pounded out the tune. And they played all of my favorites, including "Bottle Rocket," "Huiddle Formation," "Panther Dash," and "Grip Like a Vice." One of my favorite songs from the new album, "The Wrath of Marcie" also made for a great performance. But the absolute highlights, in terms of the energy and the music, were my three favorite Go! Team songs, "We Just Won't Be Defeated," "Ladyflash," and "Everyone's a V.I.P. to Someone."

This concert was an absolute blast!
