". . . with your work shoes and left-handedness"

I love my DVR. It is one of the best inventions ever. Today I was thinking about all of the network shows that I watch, and I realized that this year there is some good stuff on TV. Of course, there is also a lot of crap on TV, but I have quite a few "appointment" shows that I do not like to miss.

So whatever this says about me . . . :

My Top 10 Favorite Current Network Shows

10. Desperate Housewives
9. My Name is Earl
8. Scrubs
7. ER
6. House
5. Boston Legal
4. Lost
3. 30 Rock
2. The Office
1. Grey's Anatomy

Scrubs is so good...I literally watched all four seasons out on DVD within a week.

I love it.

I just realized that 4 of my 10 shows are hospital shows. Hmm...

Ummm... Prison Break?

I like The Office and House a lot, too.

Well, if I had to guess, I'd say that 4 out of 10 shows on TV are hospital shows, so that's nothing out of the ordinary.

You are, however, deficient 2.6 out of 10 Law and Order spin-offs and 3 out of 10 reality TV programs.

No, I think they are all on my list.

My roomie returned from x-mas break with the first two seasons of The Office on DVD. It is so amazing. I think I skipped class for an entire day and watched 4+ hours. I could have a 4.0 gpa if it was not for all of the great comedy shows on NBC. I crave them. Sarah Chalke and Tina Fey are like goddesses to me. I wonder what that says about me? Anyways, I can see that you are a seasoned TV aficionado.

Here at the U we watched a couple episodes of The Office every night for a few weeks last fall until all of us unbaptized were caught up.

I am such a big House fan that it is probably unhealthy. I just love that show.

I started watching 30 Rock after listening to bloggers around here talk about it so much, and I'm glad I did. I also like the Office....

I doubt I could come up with a list of 10 shows though. At least not counting reruns.

I bought the first season of House last saturday. I watched 6 episodes back to back. Now every second of my free time is devoted to getting through the first season so I can buy the second. I got John hooked on it this weekend... he had to catch up, so I think I've watched 15 or 16 episodes this past week. Yikes! I should be studying for APs!

Max's take:

Big fan of 7, 6, 5, 3, and 2, never watched 10,4, or 1, enjoy but rarely catch 9 or 8.

I did the same thing when I bought the House season sets. Back to back to back to dinner break to back to back etc. But it never stopped being great.

No dinner break for me, just switching from the living room to my room so I could watch until 3 am. The plot gets a bit repetitive, but I am addicted.

Well, what can I say. I got hungry. I agree that sometimes the same old set of various misdiagnoses, followed by the revelatory breakthrough, followed by the cure, can get a bit old. Some of the very best episodes are the ones where they break the pattern pretty dramatically.
