Neighborhood Worship

In a four block radius around my street in Bucktown, three beautiful churches rise up out of the neighborhood sidestreets.

St. Hedwig Catholic Church:

Covenant Presbyterian:

St. Mary of the Angels:

It's almost enough to make a guy go to church.

But not quite.

I wish new churches would build nice looking "classic" buildings like they used to. The churches nowadays look like gyms or confrence halls and it is repulsive.

I agree, Scott. This one church in my hometown just looked like a giant pole barn, like it was made by the same company that made Sugar Daddy's (you Minnesota folks know the building). It never good when you might confuse a Baptist Church for an adult emporium.

Though maybe fitting.

I just laughed at this comment thread. I hope I'm not going to hell.
